HUMBUG

I hate wet, cold and snow.

I thought that I could depend on global warming so I didn't take the hose in and I didn,t empty my rain barrels when the damn cold and snow sneaked in.

I collect rain water to wash my beloved Ram for two reasons first you can't wash vehicles with town water because of restrictions and second rain water doesn't leave marks after it dries.

Well the weather sneaked in and froze my barrels, the hose into my pressure washer and the garden hose then buried them in snow so that today's sun couldn't warm them up.

So I had to shovel snow off the back deck to hopefully let the sun warm things up enough to drain the hose to the washer then empty the barrels.

I hope that I can get it done tomorrow, where is global warming when you need it?

Modification

I love modifying things. On Sat. I went with John to the new cottage and had a good time spending the day changing things. We modified the return air and adjusted the warm air dampers on the heating system, then changed some door handled, then fixed and rehung the closet door, then moved the telephone jack to a different location, then ran a new phone line to the bedroom.

Oh yes, John did things too but its up to him to tell what he did!!!

The important thing is that I had fun.

BACK HOME

When I last wrote it was from Petawawa where we had a good time though we had to tell Kaden to stop saying "shalnt" explaining to him that there is no such word.

Needless to say that I was surprised to see the stuff I typed in Petawawa was on my computer when we got home.

This past weekend Hilary bummed a ride to our place where she learned what a great domino player I am. We had a lot of fun with her visit.

She went to a shower for a friend then eventually tried to go back home which was an ordeal for her. I think that she shalnt (is that really a Kenora word?) be in a hurry to ride with the same people in view of the confusion of arranging the actual happening. Mrs G and I left for the new cottage at around noon and she was to be picked up around that time however they didn't arrive till around 6Pm.

While at the new cottage I got to carry a bunch of logs, that was fun, I guess there will be more opportunities to do it again.

If Hilary gets a car she will likely come back for further instructions on how to play dominos which I will be glad to accommodate her.

I think that I might go and look on somebody elses computer to see if this stuff I have just typed will some how get on their computer.

Bye
